EVENT DEFINITIONS:
Conventions: Events that are typically sponsored by professional associations that include both education and paid exhibitor components. Registration is only open to industry professionals.
Tradeshows: Events that are sponsored by organizations that include both education and paid exhibitor components. Registration is only open to industry professionals.
Public Shows: Events that are sponsored by for-profit organizations, focused on exhibit hall activity. The show is comprised of paid exhibitors; attendance is subject to a minimal fee and is open to the general public.
Meeting: Events that can be sponsored by a professional association, for-profit organization or government office. Activity does not include a paid-exhibitor show, also may include an exhibit of the sponsoring organization’s departments, dealers, etc.
