(CHICAGO, IL) June 15, 2006- Tim Roby, president of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB) announced today the promotions of Marc Anderson to Assistant Vice President, Convention Sales, and Cassie Veatch to Assistant Director, Client Services.
Marc Anderson-Assistant Vice President, Convention Sales
Marc Anderson has been promoted from Managing Director, Convention Sales to Assistant Vice President, Convention Sales. Anderson has been with the CCTB since February 2003.
“Marc has been successful in working closely with clients and implementing creative incentives to bring new business to Chicago and ensure major shows return to our city,” said Roby.
He has nearly 15 years experience in the hospitality industry. Before joining the Bureau, Anderson held various sales positions at the Wyndham International, the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau and Smith, Bucklin & Associates.
He is currently the Vice Chair of the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) Industry Relations Task Force, and is a member of ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership’s Industry Partner Alliance. He is also a member of MPI, IAEM and the Association Forum of Chicagoland
Cassie Veatch, CMP -Assistant Director, Client Services
Cassie Veatch, CMP has been promoted to Assistant Director, Client Services. Veatch, who has been with the CCTB since August 2003, previously held the position of Client Services Manager. In her new position, Veatch will manage three Bureau Service Managers and one Assistant Bureau Service Manager and retain management of major accounts. She will continue to report to Rose Horcher, CEM, CMP, Managing Director of Client Services. “Cassie is dedicated to the customer and continuously receives positive feedback from our clients on her ability to anticipate and exceed the needs of every trade show or convention customer she is servicing,” said Roby.
Prior to joining the Bureau, Veatch worked with United Cerebral Palsy in its fundraising and special events department. She is an active member of PCMA.
