Permanent Traffic Change
The City of Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) will permanently change the directional flow of traffic on N. Wabash Avenue between Superior and Ontario Streets beginning the evening of Thursday, May 23rd. This area is currently one-way southbound and will be changed to two-way. This three block section of Wabash Avenue will be closed to through traffic during the day on May 22nd in order for new directional signs and pavement markings to be installed.
This new configuration will help improve access and traffic flow in the area. The one block segment from Chicago Avenue to Superior Street will remain one-way southbound.
